Jim Noir- Eany Meanie
Jim Noir is an influence my band mate introduced me to, she recently said that the album this came from is her main musical influence and that's alright by me! I love how bizarre the lyrics to some of these songs are and the vibe of the whole album is brilliant, offbeat. This song was composed for some football thingy.
I think the band The Bees sound A LOT like Jim Noir and I am a HUGE fan of their music. It's that kind of dreamy updated Zombies sound. Speaking of which... this is a solo song from lead singer Colin Blunstone who has a BEAUTIFUL voice. Unfortunately this is the ONLY good song he did, love the strings, but ALL his other solo stuff is unbelievable shite. I mean really, really bad.
And just 'cause why not, here's a bees song for y'all...
Hi there!
This is my blog where I'm gonna post stuff about songwriting. All the important stuff, things I've learned, blocks I've had, and overcome, just anything that helps...
Most importantly I'll put all the versions of songs i'm trying to write so you and I can track their evolution. If any of them end up good we can see how shit they started.
Also, songwriting and musical influences, good lyrics etc which will serve as an archive for me when I need inspiration.
